CINDER congress Amsterdam
17, 18 and 19 September 2012
CINDER is an international, independent non-profit organisation which seeks to stimulate and promote research into issues related to land registration.
Every two years, an international conference is organised by one of its members. This year, Kadaster has the privilege of organising CINDER’s 18th international conference, which will take place on 17, 18 and 19 September 2012 at the Okura hotel in Amsterdam.
We expect attendees from more than 50 different countries and organisations.
General information
The congress will focus on electronic and crossborder conveyance and foreclosure by mortgagees. In both fields easier procedures could contribute to solutions for the existing crises on the real estate market. Despite the need for such procedures legal security will remain demanded. The congress will try to pave the road for both interests.
Electronic and crossborder conveyance
Faith of buyers of foreign real estate can be improved by foreign bilingual deeds that are executed by foreign public notary and in which foreign legislation is partly applicable. Using new ICT tools, will support fast processing by foreign registrars.
Foreclosure procedures
Foreclosure procedures are affected by the type of mortgage and by the system for registration of mortgagees. In this field distinction can be made between mortgages connected to a debt (accessory) and mortgages that are independent of a debt. Next to this, a distinction can be made between using a paper process or using electronic means.
